A private online space for your class
Post homework reminders, share links and answer questions between lessons in a network that only your class can find. Invite everyone with one link and close it when the course ends.
Free · No ads in your feed · Public, private or hidden
Mock exam on Tuesday covers chapters 4–6. Past papers are in the post below.
One link for the whole class
Create an invite link that works 30 times or expires in 7 days, share it in class, and everyone joins directly. Turn the link off once everyone is in.
Reminders that stay on top
Pin the next deadline or exam date. New posts appear below it, so nobody has to scroll back to find it.
Questions answered once, for everyone
When one student asks how to do question 4, your answer in the comments helps the whole class — not just whoever was in the chat at the time.
Student helpers as moderators
Give a class rep the moderator role so they can welcome new members and keep things tidy.
Recommended setup
Hidden means the class doesn't appear anywhere on duno — only people with your invite link can find it. With an invite-only link that expires, nobody outside the class can join.
Every setting can be changed later in your network's settings.

How it works
- Create your networkPick a name and an address such as duno.com/net/y11-chemistry-2026. Choose whether it is public, private or hidden, and add a logo, cover and colour.
- Set the rulesDecide how people join (request, open or invite only) and who can post. Add rules, a welcome message and a question for people who ask to join.
- Invite peopleShare an invite link in the chat or email list you already use, or invite people by their duno username. Make trusted members moderators.
Frequently asked questions
How old do students need to be?
Everyone on duno must be at least 13. For younger classes, set up a network for parents instead. Always follow your school's rules for online communication with students.
Can I stop students from posting?
Yes. You can set the network so only admins and moderators post, or let students post with your approval first. You can change this at any time.
What happens at the end of the year?
You can keep the network as an archive, hand ownership to a colleague, or remove members. Each teacher can run up to five networks, so a new class can get a fresh one.
Is this a replacement for our learning platform?
No. duno doesn't do assignments, grading or file submissions. It's a simple place for conversation and announcements alongside the tools your school already uses.
Is it free?
Yes. Creating a network, inviting people, posting and moderating are free on duno. There are no paid plans for networks and no ads in your feed.
Do members need a duno account?
Yes. Everyone joins with a free duno account, which takes about a minute to create. People must be at least 13. Each member decides whether their own profile is public or visible to logged-in members only.
Ready when you are
It takes about two minutes to set up a network. You can keep it hidden until it's ready, then invite people.
