Comparison
An alternative to Telegram groups and channels
Telegram is great for fast chat and broadcasting to large audiences. When you want members to post, comment and find things later, in a space with approval and moderators, a duno network fits better.

What duno does differently
A feed, not a stream
Posts with comments, reactions and polls, organised and pinnable, instead of a fast-moving chat.
Approval-based membership
Approve each person with an optional question, or use invite links that expire.
Public pages people can find
Public networks appear in duno's directory and search engines.
No phone number shown
Members join with a duno account; they decide who can message them.

Frequently asked questions
Is duno encrypted like Telegram secret chats?
No. duno is a social network; private and hidden networks restrict who can see posts, but it is not an end-to-end encrypted messenger.
Is duno free?
Yes. Creating an account, creating networks, inviting members, posting jobs and asking questions are free. There are no paid plans and no ads in the feed.
Who runs a network on duno?
The person who creates it. Owners appoint admins and moderators, approve or decline join requests, remove or ban members and can transfer ownership. duno's own moderators only step in for content that breaks duno's terms.
